“The Poles are very conscious of the reasons why the Second World War happened and they suffered so much. It was not because of lack of security guarantees, they were actually in place, but the actual lack of real arm forces that could have defended Poland when conflict came” – said Marek Matraszak, Vice-President of the Euro-Atlantic Association, in an interview for Al Jazeera.
